Will Oakeshott goes to the dark side to gather up all things metal in South Australia…
you should LISTEN to
Connections – ‘Façade’
“Hold Tight!” vocalist Felicia Tassone screeches as Connections escalate their shimmering electro-pop to a trance-prog-metal explosion. What a flawlessly suiting lyrical message for this artistic venture. 'Façade' is delightfully delicate in tone, but the darkness in its poetic expression is similar to London’s esOterica. The single follows a loud-quiet dynamic, with Felicia magically moving between charming croons and unnerving roars before concluding with a haunting techno dissolution. What a remarkable ride.
You Should See
Blind Girls
Last year was one for the history books for Gold Coast’s blackened screamo noisecore outfit Blind Girls. The band released their third album, An Exit Exists, toured Australia with Touché Amoré, dropped by Adelaide with Mindsnare and left a path of destruction in the USA. Their showcases are fantastic and a must-see if you enjoy hyperenergetic live music.
