you should LISTEN to

Outsider – ‘Shadows Still Linger’

“But I can’t bring you back!” Tom Drizners bellows in desperation in the introduction of this metalcore single. An onslaught of beatdown lunacy follows, from catastrophic chugging to machine-gun pulsations. A spoken-word interlude slows the heavy hysteria, which is similar to Colorado’s Mouth For War. Jarringly, an explosive breakdown inspired by Black Sheep Wall then devastates those willing to witness Outsider’s ruination. This song brings us back from the shadows.

You Should See

Sylosis

It’s been nearly 12 years since these tech-metalcore wizards were on our shores. But now, the quartet are back Down Under in tow with new material (three albums and an EP worth!). With guitarist/vocalist Josh Middleton back at the helm, the British metal titans have been ‘Born Anew’. Don't miss this gig, supported by AngelMaker (CAN).

Slipknot

With the cancellation of the Australian Download Festival in 2020, it was uncertain if we would ever have a heavy music festival Down Under again. Thankfully, a brutal brigade of masked metal maniacs called Slipknot brought their Knotfest to us in 2023. Now, in 2025, Adelaide will host the band’s only headline Australian show from this festival – do not wait on this!
