English rockers Basement have followed in the footsteps of fellow New Bloom Fest artist Balance and Composure and announced a headline tour of Australia.
Before performing at New Bloom Fest in Brisbane (Saturday, March 8), Sydney (Sunday, March 9) and Melbourne (Monday, March 10), the quintet have locked in five dates across the country.
Touring Australia for the first time in six years, Basement’s headline gigs take place at Perth’s Magnet House (Friday, February 28), Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory (Saturday, March 1), Melbourne’s Prince Bandroom (Sunday, March 2), Wollongong’s Dicey Riley’s (Wednesday, March 5) and Newcastle’s Hamilton Station Hotel (Thursday, March 6).
Tickets for both New Bloom Fest and Basement’s sideshows are on sale now via Destroy All Lines.
Basement formed in Ipswich, England in 2009 and released their debut EP, Songs About the Weather, the following year. They’ve released four studio albums since then and broken up several times over the journey, with their most recent reformation coming in 2023.
After getting back together, they announced a run of US tour dates, including an appearance at When We Were Young festival, and re-signed with Run For Cover Records, their original label from back in the day.
Catch Basement at Lions Art Factory on Saturday, March 1. Tickets on sale now via destroyalllines.com.
