Grammy Winners 2025: Check Out the Full List here
Kendrick Lamar dominates, taking home five Grammy Awards, including the coveted Song of the Year for ‘Not Like Us’.
The 2025 Grammy Awards are done and dusted for another year, with the big winner from this year’s ceremony being Kendrick Lamar.
The Compton rap superstar took home five gongs, winning in every category he was nominated. Completing his victory lap around Drake after winning their beef, K-Dot’s brutal diss track ‘Not Like Us’ took home Grammy Awards for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video.
“We gonna dedicate this one to the city — Compton, Watts, Long Beach, Inglewood, Hollywood, out to the Valley, the IE, San Bernadino — this is my neck of the woods that held me down since I was a young pup, since I was in the studio scrapping to write the best raps and all that, to do records like these,” Lamar explained in his acceptance speech for Record of the Year. “I can’t give enough thanks to these places that I’ve rolled around since high school, most importantly the people and the families out in the Palisades and Altadena, this the true testament that we can continue to restore the city. We gonna keep rocking.”
Lamar wasn’t the only artist to win multiple awards, with Beyoncé, who received a record 11 nominations for a solo female artist, winning three Grammys, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter.
Other artists with multiple wins included Sabrina Carpenter taking out Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n’ Sweet and Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Espresso’, Charli XCX taking out Best Dance/Electronic Music Album for Brat, and St Vincent winning Best Rock Song for ‘Broken Man’ and Best Alternative Music Performance for ‘Flea’.
Elsewhere, Chappell Roan, who was up for six awards, ultimately only took home one Grammy for Best New Artist and used her Grammy speech to urge record labels to “offer a liveable wage and healthcare, especially to developing artists.”
Newcomer Doechii beat out her male competition to take home Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal, which is technically a mixtape. The win saw Doechii become just the third female artist in Grammy history to win the award, following in the footsteps of Lauryn Hill and Cardi B.
Not only did she win a Grammy, but Doechii mesmerised the crowd with a spellbinding performance of her songs 'Denial Is a River' and ‘Catfish’. She also dropped a new song, ‘Nosebleeds’, just hours after her win, where she references her Grammy win, rapping, “Will she ever lose?" Man, I guess we'll never know.”
The Rolling Stones controversially took out Best Rock Album for Hackney Diamonds, beating out the likes of Fontaines D.C., Idles, Peral Jame and Jack White, while Australia’s own Kevin Parker, under his alias Tame Impala, finally won a Grammy at the fifth attempt for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for his collab ‘Neverender’ with Justice.
Best Melodic Rap Performance was won by Rapsody and Erykah Badu for their incredible tune ‘3:AM’, Gojira won their first Grammy for Best Metal Performance for their 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony retention of ‘Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)’ and Kacey Musgraves won Best Country Song for ‘The Architect’.
