Adam Newling Announces ‘Love Takes Care’ Solo Australian Tour

The extensive tour arrives ahead of the release of Adam Newling’s upcoming Love Takes Care EP.

Aussie muso Adam Newling is embarking on his biggest ever solo national tour in 2025.

Performing songs from his new Love Takes Care EP alongside fan favourites, Newling is hitting 18 venues across the country throughout January and February next year.

Taking to social media to reveal the tour, Newling posted, “This summer I’m heading out on my biggest solo tour yet. I’ve got a new acoustic EP coming – a bunch of songs I’ve been cooking up at home over the last six months with my family. They mean a lot to me, and I reckon it’s about time I share ’em with you lot. Can’t wait to hit the road and have a yarn with ya at the shows!”

Newling gets his Love Takes Care tour off and running in Adelaide at the Grace Emily on Thursday, January 16. He follows this with dates at Port Adelaide’s 10 Gallon Hat (Friday, January 17), Airlie Beach’s Magnums Bar (Thursday, January 23), Mackay’s Metropolitan Hotel (Friday, January 24), Maroochydore’s Solbar (Saturday, January 25), Tamborine Mountain’s The Knoll Studio (Sunday, January 26) and Murwillumbah’s The Citadel (Thursday, January 30), before rounding out the month at Tweed Heads’ Badlands Vinyl on Friday, January 31.

The February run of dates kicks off at Armidale’s The Welders Dog Brewery on Saturday, February 1 and includes stops at Tamworth’s Tamworth Hotel (Sunday, February 2), Elizabeth Beach’s The Recky (Wednesday, February 5), Dubbo’s Crossroads Bar (Thursday, February 6), Port Kembla’s The Vault (Friday, February 7), Albury’s The Bended Elbow (Sunday, February 9), Bakery Hill’s Kank Wolverang Records (Thursday, February 13), Hobart’s Republic Bar (Friday, February 14) and Launceston’s The Royal Oak Hotel (Saturday, February 15), before Newling brings this to a close with a final gig at Marrickville’s Marrickville Golf Club on Saturday, February 22.

Cronulla-born Adam Newling has been writing and recording music since his youth, combining country flavours with alternative conventions.

Originally a member of Ruby Field’s backing band where he played guitar, Newling has gone solo in recent years, releasing a string of singles and two albums – 2022s Half Cut and Dangerous and 2023s Dorothy Pained Portraits.

A storyteller in the mould of Bob Dylan and Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard, Newling wears his heart on his sleeve, crafting emotionally charged tunes highlighted by his raspy delivery.
