Michael Kiwanuka Announces New Album and Shares Video for ‘Lowdown’ Parts I & II
This is the British musician’s first album since 2019.
2020 Mercury Prize winner Michael Kiwanuka is back with more new music from his upcoming fourth album, Small Changes.
Following the release of first single ‘Floating Parade’, Kiwanuka has shared ‘Lowdown (Part i)’ and ‘Lowdown (Part ii)’ alongside a music video directed by Blackwall.
The meditative clip features a young lad riding a bike accompanied by Kiwanuka’s trademark bluesy guitar playing and soothing vocals.

Small Changes arrives November 15 via Geffen (pre-order/pre-save here) and includes production from the likes of Danger Mouse and Inflo and collaborations with bassist Pino Palladino and songwriter Jimmy Jam.
According to NME, the album is inspired by the birth of Kiwanuka’s two children and moving away from the hustle and bustle of London.
If Small Change is anywhere near as good as the multi-instrumentalist’s last album, 2019s Kiwanuka, then expect another incredible collection of personal songs from the acclaimed singer-songwriter.
