John Craigie Returns To Australia in 2025 with Three Week Tour
Folk singer John Craigie will be joined on his three-week tour by folk-country singer-songwriter Kassi Valazza.
American singer-songwriter and renowned storyteller John Craigie is returning to Australia in 2025 for a three-week tour.
Having impressed audiences during a run of Aussie shows earlier this year, the ‘I Am California’ songwriter is bringing his hits and wit to 13 venues across the country. Performing songs from his eclectic nine-album back catalogue, including tunes from his most recent album Pagan Church, fans can expect a night of whimsical folk songs and incredible stories from Craigie.
Joining Craigie on tour is Portland folk-country singer-songwriter Kassi Valazza, making her debut appearance on Australian shores.
The tour commences in Canberra at Smith’s Alternative on Saturday, March 29 and then moves to The Baroque Room in the Blue Mountains on Sunday, March 30, Factory Theatre in Sydney on Tuesday, April 1, The Gov in Adelaide on Friday, April 4, Lyric’s Underground in Perth on Saturday, April 5 and Freo Social in Perth on Sunday, April 6.
After a few day’s break Craigie continues with shows at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on Tuesday, April 8, Yarraville’s Kindred Ballroom on Wednesday, April 9, St. Kilda’s George Lane on Thursday, April 10 and Meeniyan Town Hall on Saturday, April 12.
The final three concerts take place at Hobart’s Altar on Sunday, April 13, the Eltham Hotel on Wednesday, April 16 and Brisbane’s Crowbar on Thursday, April 17.

John Craigie has been called everything from a modern-day troubadour to a cross between acclaimed American singer-songwriter Woddy Guthrie and comedian Mitch Hedberg.
He’s been writing and recording music for over two decades and is a much-loved member of the American folk scene. Craigie has nine studio albums to his name, including this year’s Pagan Church, along with three live albums and three cover albums.
Having performed with everyone from Jack Johnson and Shawn Colvin to the Avett Brothers and Paul Thorn, Craigie has perfected the art of live performance and continues to sell out gigs across the world.
