AFL Gather Round hits South Australia for the third time in April in what is shaping as the best edition yet!

While football is the main focus, Gather Round is a celebration of everything great about SA, including our vibrant music scene. Along with performances from Sneaky Sound System and some yet-to-be-named huge Aussie acts, this year’s 2025 Maccas Footy Festival Live & Loud program is searching for awesome local acts to take the main stage and compete for an epic prize.

If performing in front of a parochial SA crowd during this year’s AFL Gather Round sparks your interest, all you need to do is fill out a short form and submit a 2-3 minute video of your band performing via this link.

This year’s AFL Gather Round is shaping as another must-attend event for music lovers, with two-time ARIA Award winners Sneaky Sound System performing on the Adelaide Oval ahead of the blockbuster clash between Port Adelaide and Hawthorn on Sunday, April 13 as part of the Pepsi Collective, with Hermitude kicking off the weekend with a party on field on Thursday, April 10.

Friday, April 11, will see Andy Murphy and a stack of local acts performing, followed by Andrew Loadsman taking to the stage on Saturday, April 12, with a special yet-to-be-announced guest.

Sneaky Sound System duo Connie Mitchell and Angus McDonald said they are looking forward to playing in Adelaide again. “Adelaide crowds have always been fun, and we never say no to a game of AFL, so when we got the call-up for Gather Round, there was only ever going to be one answer.

“We’ll play the fan favourites for the Gather Round crowd, so it’s going to be an absolute feast of footy celebrations, and we can’t wait.”

Hermitude duo Elgusto and Luke Dubs are also excited to be part of Gather Rather celebrations. "We're pumped to be performing at the beautiful Adelaide Oval in front of a massive Gather Round crowd. It's a huge vibe in one of the big footy states. We'll be playing bangers for the Eddie Betts pocket!"

The Footy Festival returns to Elder Park from April 10 - 13, bringing four days of footy, fun, and live entertainment to SA. For more information, visit afl.com.au.
