After revealing One Night Stand’s stacked lineup on Tuesday (March 25), headlined by everyone’s favourite indie rockers Spacey Jane, the location for this year’s festival has also been unveiled.

The small WA town of Busselton is hosting this year’s event, the first time One Night Stand has taken place in WA in almost a decade. Located in the south-west, Busselton has a population of around 27,300 and is famous for being home to Australia’s longest wooden jetty, the imaginatively titled Busselton Jetty.

Taking place on Saturday, May 24 at Barnard Park, One Night Stand features Spacey Jane at the top of the bill alongside electronic powerhouse LUUDE, singer-songwriter Ruby Fields and ARIA-winning First Nations hip hop collective 3%

The lineup also includes pop trio Blusher, Sydney psychedelic act Velvet Trip and a local triple j Unearthed Competition Winner.

As is the case with every One Night Stand, tickets sold out in a flash, with Busselton locals eager to feast on some awesome live music this May.

The first One Night Stand was held in 2004 at Natimuk in Victoria with a lineup featuring Grinspoon, The Dissociatives, Koolism, Eskimo Joe and Less Than Perfection.

The early years of the event saw a competition to select the town where the festival would be held, with the likes of Port Pirie in SA and Dubbo in NSW lucky enough to hold the event. Promoted as an alcohol and drug-free event, One Night Only skipped a year in 2015 when the station celebrated its 30th anniversary with Beat the Drum.

Returning a year late, One Night Stand ran for a further four years before COVID-19 temporarily ended the festival. An incredible 20,000 people rocked up to St Helens’ in Tasmania for the final pre-pandemic festival in 2019 to witness Peking Duk, Vance Joy, Tkay Maidza and more.

Last year the festival made its comeback after a five year absence. Taking place in Warrnambool, Victoria, One Night Stand 2024 featured G Flip and Ruel as headliners with support from What So Not, Thelma Plum, Sycco, DICE and local Warrnambool artist Flynn Gurry, who won the triple j Unearthed competition.

One Night Stand 2025 takes place at Barnard Park, Busselton, WA on Saturday, May 24.
