Dion Pride, the son of famed country singer Charlie Pride, is touring Australia performing his father’s biggest hits.

Possessing his old man’s incredible vocal talents, Dion is a well-known performer in his own right. A multi-talented instrumentalist who can play guitar, piano, drums, and bass, Dion has blazed his own path as an artist but is returning to his roots when he brings his Dion Pride Sings the Songs of His Father tour to our shores.

Joined by original Charley Pride touring musicians, including Ronnie Miller (pedal steel guitar), Danny Hutchins (piano/keys) and Mark Kalson (fiddle), Dion will entertain with a set of his dad’s most beloved tunes, such as ‘Kiss An Angel Good Mornin’’, ‘Is Anybody Goin’ To San Antone’ and ‘Mountain of Love’.

Dion’s extensive Australian tour takes in 16 dates across five states and territories, beginning at The NEX in Newcastle on Friday, April 11 and finishing up at Griffith Regional Theatre in Griffith on Saturday, May 15. The tour includes a stop in Adelaide at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday, May 15.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now via dionprideshow.com.

Performing alongside his dad from a young age, Dion’s star rose when his father recorded his song ‘I Miss My Home’, which featured on Charley’s acclaimed 2011 album, Choices.

Dion played lead guitar and keyboards with his father’s band for five years before embarking on his own solo career. He’s gone on to perform in front of massive crowds across North America as well as countries including England, Ireland, Scotland and Canada.

A humble and committed artist passed with an authentic voice, Dion is excited to perform his father’s songs for Australian audiences this April and May.

Catch Dion Pride at Her Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday, May 15. Tickets on sale now via dionprideshow.com.
