Expect 1000 beers and not beers flowing at Beer & BBQ Fest this July 12-14. Here are some of our favourite froths to quench your thirst!
WATSACOWIE BREWING CO.
You’ll find the world’s barley capital in Minlaton, Yorke Peninsula. And do you know what the most common ingredient is in beer? Barley. No wonder locals Watsacowie Brewing Co. has a tonne of craft chops. These flavour-driven froths are a dream to drink – fresh, forward-thinking and filled with honest ingredients. The contemporary and classic faces of beer cut a fine balance at Watsacowie. You’ll find us drinking Pink Peesy – a fruity, watermelon mix – this Beer & BBQ Fest.

Alice Springs Brewing Co
Expect beers with flavour profiles as free as Australia’s Central Desert here. Alice Springs Brewing Co’s range reflects its rugged red dirt surrounds, a collection of beers (and not beers) made to drink in the sweltering sun or under the stars. The brewery is travelling an arduous 1530 kilometres to make its Beer & BBQ Fest debut – a journey worth toasting to. We’re celebrating the arrival with a passionfruit-forward, Galaxy hop Specificale.

El Toro
Forget everything you know about tequila. El Toro is not the drink that’ll leave you reliving terrible nights in your twenties. This smooth, sophisticated spirit is from hand-harvested agave plants and is double-distilled. Still suspicious? Wrap your lips around one of El Toro’s mango margarita or grapefruit paloma RTDs (both with a respectable 4.5% ABV) and you’ll see why we love them. It’s the perfect palate cleanser amongst all the craft beer madness.

Want a rich and roasted chocolate stout? How about the pine-lime party starter session ale? Or a hazy ale that oozes Friday feelings? Your pick – Shapeshifter has likely brewed the weird and wonderful flavour combos you’re dreaming of.
