Folk-pop act The Dreggs are kicking off 2025 with new single, ‘Stay the Night’, the first single from the duo’s hotly anticipated self-titled album due out later this year.

Produced by Chris Collins (Royel Otis, The Rions) and Matt Corby, ‘Stay the Night’ is a wistful acoustic ditty from Paddy Macrae and Zane Harris about asking an important question of your significant other and the uncertainty and apprehension that comes with that.

Taking to Instagram to reveal the release of ‘Stay the Night’, The Dreggs had this to say about the song: “‘Stay The Night’ [is] a song about the feeling of falling in love. A song about wanting to ask that question but not wanting to stuff it up. A song we wrote so you guys can scream it at the top of your lungs in your car, at a show, at work, or anywhere at all for that matter. We are so proud of this one. Please go check it out on your favourite streaming platform we have a feeling you’re going to love it.”

The song is accompanied by a music video directed Josh Hickie that features the lads chilling in a living room, with Macrae singing directly into the camera and Harris in the background playing guitar and doing a little shimmy.

2025 is shaping up as The Dreggs’ biggest year to date. Not only are they dropping their second album a year after their well-received debut, Caught in a Reverie, but the lads have plenty of tour dates lined up.

The Dreggs are locked in to perform at Aussie festivals Party in the Paddock and Yours and Owls and have a national tour in the works. They are also planning on heading overseas to perform across Europe and the US.
