After performing their first live shows in almost 15 years as part of the 2024 Hotter Than Hell tour, Little Birdy have announced a fully-fledged tour commemorating the 21st anniversary of their debut album, BigBigLove.
Released in 2004, BigBigLove peaked at #5 on the ARIA Album Chart and spawned the singles ‘Beautiful to Me’, ‘Tonight's the Night’ and ‘Excited’. The album was a huge smash and received four ARIA Award nominations, with ‘Beautiful to Me’ also coming in at #8 on the 2004 triple j Hottest 100.
“These songs still feel just as real as they did when we first wrote them,” Steele said in a statement. “Revisiting them as a band has been such a unique and healing experience. I can't wait to see our old fans down the front, singing along again just like we did all those years ago.”
Guitarist Simon Leach added: “I never thought this thing would have a chapter two. Playing on stage again, seeing Little Birdy devotees and a whole new generation singing along — it's surreal, and we're so grateful to be doing this again.”
The ten-date 21st anniversary tour commences at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre (Friday, June 20) and continues throughout June and July with shows at Gold Coast’s Miami Marketta (Saturday, June 21), Adelaide’s The Gov (Thursday, July 3), Melbourne’s Corner Hotel (Friday, July 4), Chelsea Heights’ Chelsea Heights Hotel (Saturday, July 5) and Newcastle’s King Street Bandroom (Thursday, July 31).
The final four dates of the tour occur in August at Wollongong’s Waves (Friday, August 1), Sydney’s Manning Bar (Saturday, August 2), Perth’s Astor Theatre (Friday, August 8) and Dunsborough’s Dunsborough’s Tavern (Saturday, August 9).
Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, March 21 at 8:30am local time via little-birdy.com.

Not only are Little Birdy celebrating BigBigLove with a national tour, where they will perform the album in full alongside crowd favourites, but the Perth act are also releasing the album as a limited edition vinyl featuring a bonus 7” record with unheard tracks, including a never-before-released version of ‘Beautiful to Me’. This offer is only for ticket holders, so be sure to grab yours this Friday.
While there has been no talk of new music from the group, next year marks the 20th anniversary of Little Birdy’s sophomore album, Hollywood. Fingers crossed this tour goes well and the band give some thought to touring their second studio record, which is another belter.
Catch Little Birdy at The Gov on Thursday, July 3. For ticketing details visit little-birdy.com.
