Not to dampen your week but Billy Corgan’s Good Things sideshows in Adelaide and Melbourne have been canned.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman, who was set to perform with Aussie act The Delta Riggs as his backing band, has cancelled shows in Adelaide on Sunday, December 1 and in Melbourne on Tuesday, December 3. Tickets for his remaining solo show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday, December 4 remain on sale.

According to a statement shared by Blunt Magazine, “Billy Corgan is unable to come to Australia as early as hoped. He will now be in full rehearsal mode for his Good Things Festival appearances when his headline shows were due to be.”

There has been no official reason given for Corgan cancelling the shows beyond the statement above, leaving many fans in the dark as to why the ‘Bullet with Butterfly Wings’ singer can’t make the shows.

Those with tickets for Good Things 2024 remain unaffected, with Corgan locked in to perform at all three festival dates at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Friday, December 6, Sydney’s Centennial Park on Saturday, December 7 and Brisbane’s Showgrounds on Sunday, December 6.

The Good Things 2024 lineup also includes the likes of Korn, Sum 41, Violent Femmes, The Gaslight Anthem and Mastadon.

Good Things 2024 tickets are still available here.
