Train Announce 2025 Australian Tour

 

The three-time Grammy Award winners will be joined on tour by KT Tunstall and Jason Wade of Lifehouse.

Diamond-selling rockers Train are making their long-awaited return to Australian shores in 2025. The ‘Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)’ and ‘Hey, Soul Sister’ hitmakers have announced a five-date national tour next May.

Fresh from a massive North American summer tour that took in close to 50 cities, the current lineup of sole original member Pat Monahan (lead vocals, percussion) alongside Jerry Becker (keyboards, rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Hector Maldonado (bass, backing vocals), Matt Musty (drums) and Taylor Locke (lead guitar, backing vocals) are excited to get back to Australia, taking to social media to tell fans: “You've waited so patiently so we're making it happen and coming over for some headline shows.”

Train will be joined on tour by Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall and Jason Wade from Lifehouse.

Train’s Aussie jaunt begins at Perth’s Red Hill Auditorium on Sunday, May 18 and continues with concerts at Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Tuesday, May 20, Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on Thursday, May 22 and Sydney’s ICC Sydney Theatre on Saturday, May 24, before wrapping up at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Sunday, May 25.

Train have been out there getting it done for over three decades, with the pop-rock act amassing a huge global following over the years.

Breaking out in 1998 with their hit single ‘Meet Virginia’, it was 2001s ‘Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)’ that turned Train into worldwide superstars, with the single going on to win two Grammy Awards.

Train have gone on to release several more massive singles over the journey, including ‘Calling All Angles’ and ‘If It’s Love’, along with sharing 11 studio albums, with their most recent being 2022s AM Gold.
