Rodrigo y Gabriela Reveal 2025 Australian Tour Dates
The Grammy Award-winning duo are touring in support of 2023s In Between Thoughts…A New World.

Bluesfest Tours are excited to announce that Mexican-born duo Rodrigo y Gabriela are returning to Australian stages in 2025 with a six-date April tour.
The captivating Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero are heading our way in support of their ambitious 2023 project, In Between Thoughts…A New World. Merging their acoustic roots with electric guitars, jazz elements and classic music, the album has been widely praised, with Far Out Magazine calling it a “virtuosic display of Rodrigo y Gabriela’s impeccable guitar playing that is truly uninhibited.”
Rodrigo y Gabriela start their tour at Brisbane’s Playhouse QPAC on Sunday, April 13 and then perform at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday, April 14, Thirroul’s Anita’s Theatre on Wednesday, April 16, Canberra’s Theatre Centre on Thursday, April 17, Adelaide’s The Gov on Monday, April 21, and finally, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Wednesday, April 23.

Meeting in their teens, Sánchez and Quintero bonded over their love of music, eventually forming a heavy metal band. Struggling to break out, they moved to Dublin, Ireland in 1999 and began busking and playing acoustic guitars in local pubs.
Catching the attention of Damien Rice, who is also touring Australia in 2025, the duo opened for him on tour and began to establish themselves in Europe.
Dropping the independent album Foc in 2001, it was the release of Rodrigo y Gabriela’s debut self-titled album in 2006 that launched them into the mainstream, with the album topping the Irish Album Charts.
The duo have gone on to release five studio albums, including Mettavolution (2020), which earned them a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, and performed at some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including the White House, London’s Royal Albert Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and the Glastonbury Festival.
