Ahead of her almost sold-out national tour, rising indie-folk artist Esha Tewari (pronounced ee-sha teh-wah-ri) has shared her latest single, ‘empty pages’.
“This song means a lot to me,” Tewari reveals. “It’s for anyone that loses someone they love and the regret and guilt that is carried after that. I pay homage to one of my favourite Jeff Buckley songs in this one, I hope people hear the little easter egg!”
The release of the haunting ‘empty pages’ follows singles ‘things i want’ and ‘you were mine’ which are taken from her upcoming EP, wraith, out May 1 (pre-save here).
Tewari’s second Australian headline tour begins at Sydney’s The Underground on Saturday, April 5 and is followed by gigs at Brisbane’s What’s Golden on Thursday, April 17 and Melbourne’s The Espy on Saturday, April 26.
The singer-songwriter ends the tour with her first visit to Perth, performing a matinee and evening gig at The Y HQ on Saturday, May 3, and taking to the stage for her debut Adelaide gig at Lion Arts Factory on Sunday, May 4.
Tickets to all shows are sold-out bar Adeladie, with a few remaining tickets still up for grabs via eshatewari.io.
