Moonlight Cinema Reveals Blockbuster January 2025 Program

Moonlight Cinema has unveiled a blockbuster January program that includes new releases, preview screenings and retro favourites for the whole family to enjoy.

Held at Botanic Park and running until Sunday, February 16, the January Moonlight Cinema program includes a slew of exciting new releases such as Ridley Scott’s period actioner Gladiator II, the latest cinematic adaptation of Wicked, the animated Lion King prequel Mufasa: The Lion King and the Hugh Grant starring horror flick Heretic.

Other highlights of the enthralling schedule include French musical crime comedy Emila Perez, road trip family drama A Real Pain and Robbie Williams’ much hyped biopic Better Man.

Keep the kiddies entertained by taking them to see the latest adventures of Paddington Bear in Paddington in Peru or Disney’s Moana 2, which features the voices of Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson.

January’s program also features preview screenings of the Timothée Chalamet Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, the Vatican set thriller Conclave, the Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh romantic drama We Live in Time and September 5, a film about the hostage crisis that took place during the 1972 Munich Olympics.

Those looking for something familiar can catch sessions of retro classics Bridget Jones’s Diary, Freaky Friday, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Shrek and The Princess Diaries.
