In news that’s sure to put a smile on music lovers’ faces across the country, triple j's One Night Stand is returning in 2025.
Making its long-awaited comeback in 2024 after a five year absence, last year’s One Night Stand took place in Warrnambool, Victoria, and featured a stacked lineup of Aussie talent. G Flip and Ruel headlined with support from What So Not, Thelma Plum, Sycco, DICE and local Warrnambool artist Flynn Gurry, who won the triple j Unearthed competition. Cub Sport and Missy Higgins also made appearances at the sold-out festival.
In a press release, triple j revealed fans won’t have to wait long to experience One Night Stand, with the mini-festival taking place in a regional town this May.
The line-up is dropping on Tuesday, March 25 with the location revealed on Thursday, March 27.

One Night Stand first took place in 2004 at Natimuk in Victoria with a lineup including Grinspoon, The Dissociatives, Koolism, Eskimo Joe and Less Than Perfection. The festival aimed to raise awareness of the triple j in regional areas across the country.
The early years of the event saw a competition to select the town where the festival would be held, with the likes of Port Pirie in SA and Dubbo in NSW holding the event. Promoted as an alcohol and drug-free event, One Night Only skipped a year in 2015 when the station celebrated its 30th anniversary with Beat the Drum.
Returning a year late, One Nigth Stand ran for a further four years before COVID-19 temporarily ended the festival. An incredible 20,000 people rocked up to St Helens’ in Tasmania for the final pre-pandemic festival in 2019 to witness Peking Duk, Vance Joy, Tkay Maidza and more.
The One Night Stand 2025 line-up drops on Tuesday, March 25, with the location following on Thursday, March 27.
